Musing

* It hurts to peel an orange when you have a paper cut. Ouch.

* Cold cars need about 15 minutes to warm up.

* Water always spills on something it is not supposed to (like cell phones) and misses things that could get wet (like plenty of other desk space). God uses it to teach us to laugh.

* Tickets to Asia are expensive.

* Some weekends are completely empty and others have so much that fun things have to be refused. Sad.

* Being single and wanting children helps me understand, a little, the pain of a barren woman.

* A man with a sword stirs a mixture of adoration and awe in the heart of a woman. Interesting how the Word of God is called a Sword? That was not a mistake... :-) Every generation of men can be skilled with the Sword.

* Lettuce is not enough for lunch.

I wonder why ... is it because the o-range is acidic and so "cuts" into the under-layer of the skin which has been exposed?

"Cold cars need about 15 minutes to warm up."

Only in WINTER, right???

Jason- I was just musing on a few things that happened in the last couple of days. It was nothing fundamentally serious. :-)

As for the sword comment... I love to watch sword flighting- like in Lord of the Rings, for example. Women, as much as Feminists want to make us equal to men, cannot handle weapons (like swords) the same way men can. You have to have speed and physical upper body strength.

We are past the era of swordfighting being a common thing. Yet, the Word of God is called a Sword in Ephesians. Although I can, as a woman, be skilled and able with the Word of God, there is something powerful about a man that knows how to handle God's Word.

As the leader in the family and in society he must know the Word so that he can lead well.

I may write a post about this soon because I love the imagery that is there!

Lettuce isn't a salad. (Believe me, we grow that stuff!) Seriously. But a fresh tomato and Italian dressing can be one amazing side dish!
