Welcome to my blog!

To Know and Believe is a blog, in short, about my life.  I like sharing lessons God is teaching me, pictures of our world, events we do, thoughts I have, convictions I hold, and what ever else comes to mind.  

The title, To Know and Believe, comes from my life verse in the Bible, Isaiah 43:10:

"You are My witnesses, declares the Lord 

and My servant whom I have chosen 

to know and believe Me 

and understand that I am He.  

Before Me no god was formed, 

nor will there be after Me."

My relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing about me.  The other things I say and do may be notable, funny or strange, but He is the reason I can smile today.  I desire to know Him better and actively believe in Him more fully every day.  If you do not have a relationship with Jesus, please go here.

I am also the wife of an amazing man of God!  You can read more about Joel here.  He is my best friend, biggest cheerleader, faithful confidant and the love of my life.  I am so grateful that God has given him to me for the time we have on this earth.

I am mother to two precious little boys! Jeremiah is growing into an intelligent, loving and rambunctious little man.  Joshua is new around here and has a lot of personality already!  They are teaching me so much about God's love for me as a Father, patience, mercy and love.  I cannot wait to see what God has planned for their lives!

I am also a daughter to wonderful God-loving parents, sister to three fun-loving brothers and two beautiful sisters.  I have really good friends who live far away and new friends that are close. 

I love reading, but have little time for it these days.  I love sewing, but my machine is at my parent's house.  I enjoy cleaning, but if you stopped by at random the house would probably be messy.  I never thought I would iron my sheets, but sometimes do because Joel loves it.  I have a passion for saving money, but it sometimes looks more like greed.  I am obsessed with taking pictures, but do not own my dream camera.  I serve at our church, but wish I could do so much more!

My favorite restaurant is Chick-fil-A.  I adore milk.  I cannot get enough of orange things like carrots, cheese and, well, oranges!  My favorite website, of late, is Money Saving Mom.  My favorite book, besides the Bible, is The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer.
